GFFF 2014 winners of development stage projects.
Los Cabos International Film Festival is proud to announce the second edition of this Film Fund to support projects in DEVELOPMENT and in POST-PRODUCTION stages, through collaboration with Labodigital, the most important post-production services company in Latin America which has confirmed their participation for Los Cabos International Film Festival in response to the positive results of our collaboration.
As part of the Third Edition of Los Cabos Film Fest, seven projects in development stage will be awarded with USD$5,000 each, and two projects in Post-production stage with USD $52,000 each in digital services.
Additionally, the partnerships considered with Tribeca Film Institute, Strategic Partners, Moscow Business Square and DOSCSDF, will benefit participants at the second edition of the GabrielFigueroaFilm Fund.
The seven winning projects in development stage:
- Coleccionistas de sombras (Shadow Collector) (Director and Producer Viviana García Besné – Documentary).
- Los días más oscuros de nosotras (Our Darkest Days) (Director Astrid Rondero, Producer Fernanda Valadez – Fiction), a Tribeca Film Institute project selected by the Festival.
- Entrevero (Confusion) (Director Max Zunino, Producer Laura Imperiale – Fiction).
- Hombre por hombre (Man for Man) (Director Marcelo Tobar, Producer Elsa Reyes – Fiction).
- Ojos de mar y tierra (Sea and Earth Eyes) (Director José Álvarez, Producer Julio Chavezmontes – Documentary).
- Siete horas (Seven Hours) (Director Chema Rodríguez, Producers Francisco Vargas and Chema Rodríguez – Fiction).
- Ya no estoy aquí (I’m no longer here) (Director Fernando Frías, Producers Gerry Kim and Mayuran Tiruchelvam – Fiction).
The two winning projects in post-production stage:
- El charro de Toluquilla (The Toluquilla Charro) (Director José Villalobos Romero, Producer Sergio Adrián Morkin – Documentary).
- Semana Santa (Holy Week) (Director Alejandra Márquez Abella, Producers Nicolás Celis and Sebastián Celis – Fiction).
