The 7th Annual Kuala Lumpur Eco Film Festival (KLEFF) has announced the top three finalists in each of its film competition categories: Best Documentary, Best Short Film (International), Best Short Film (Malaysia) and Best Animation.
The finalists are as follows:
Best Documentary

Best Short Film (International)
- The Story of a Danube Salmon (Directors: Jovana Milanko, Dušan Brković, Republic of Serbia)
- Saving H2O (Director: Charlie Lehmer, New Zealand)
- Endless Road (Director: Huaqing Jin, China)
Best Short Film (Malaysia)
- The Story of Awak (Directors: Andy Ho Hsin Aun, Shayne Especkerman, Ariff Ariffin Hew)
- Save our Bats (Directors: Lee Ching Ching & Lee Shan Shan)
- Mantanani: The Struggle Towards a Sustainable Livelihood (Directors: MENGO & Bededas Studio)
Best Animation
- Borrando Huellas (Erasing Footsteps) (Director: Armando Camero, Mexico)
- It's a Plastic World (Director: Andreas Tanner, Switzerland)
- Untold & Unseen (Director: LAM Ho Tak, Hong Kong)
Best Public Service Announcement (PSA)
- International Year of Family Farming (Director: Greener Media, USA)
- Rolling World (Director: Emilia Ruiz, France – Spain)
- S.O.S. (Director: Mohd Shahrul Arif Yusop, Malaysia)

About the Kuala Lumpur Eco Film Festival (KLEFF)
The KLEFF is run and organized by local Environmental NGO, EcoKnights. Now in its seventh year, the goal of the festival is to provide the Malaysian community with environmental films, workshops, talks and discussions, and eco-vendors in an effort to improve awareness for environmental issues. About EcoKnights
EcoKnights is a not-for-profit environmental organization with the Malaysian Registrar of Societies. Founded in 2005 by Yasmin Rasyid, the organization focuses on community based environmental education and awareness projects that help Malaysians to understand and deal with environmental issues that affect them. EcoKnights offers a variety of programs for the community including the Sentinels of Time photography competition, Knights of Nature Sustainability Camp, Anugerah Hijau youth competition, and the Kuala Lumpur Eco Film Festival (KLEFF), which is now in its 7th year.
