The world premiere of peruvien film PERRO GUARDIAN at the World Competition of the WFF Montreal has been a success, with rave reviews and excellent public at the Cinema Imperial. Now, by popular demand, The Montréal World Film Festival has added an additional special screening that will take place next September 1st at 12:40 at the QUARTIER LATIN.
“Dog,” an ex-militiaman granted amnesty by the government, is now a killer for hire. One of his missions leads him to a Christian church where he meets Milagros, an adolescent towards whom he feels a strange attraction. Among prayers, tears, and assassinations, the voice of the temple’s apostle prompts Dog to question his own raison d’être. His gun is on the verge of becoming a sword of God.
Carlos Alcántara, the most popular actor in Peru, plays a totally different character in the film.
