Director Issac Feder’s newest feature film makes its debut at the Portland Film Festival.

“Sex Ed” World Premiere Tuesday, August 26, 2014

Attending the premiere: Issac Feder (Dir.), Haley Joel Osment (The Sixth Sense, Pay it Forward), Lorenza Izzo (Hemlock Grove, Aftershock), Abby Elliott (Saturday Night Live, How I Met your Mother), Chris Williams (Dodgeball, The Joneses), and additional guests to be announced.

Portland, Oregon (August 14, 2014)- Sex Ed, the first feature film directed by Isaac Feder will be making its world premiere as one of the opening night features for the 2014 Portland Film Festival.

Haley Joel Osment stars in the film as Eddie, stuck in the post-collegiate doldrums; shitty job, shitty apartment, no girlfriend. He takes a job supervising an after school detention program, where he quickly discovers that the kids are getting no form of sexual education. If he doesn’t teach it, they’re going to learn about sex from the internet.  And the internet is a dark place.

Eddie isn’t equipped to teach sex ed – he’s a virgin. But he fakes it, and soon the kids start to love and look forward to his class. He even scores a date with the older sister of one of his students. But everything falls apart when his new girlfriend finds out that Eddie gave her little brother condoms, and the head of the local PTA threatens to cancel his class.

According to Osment, this film has found the perfect home in Portland. “This is huge for us. We looked at some other festivals where we would have been a minor event and here they're giving us the focus of opening night.” Both Osment and Feder will be among other cast and crew on the red carpet for the premiere and opening night celebration at Portland’s Crystal Ballroom on August 26, beginning at 5:30pm.
