Manifest Film Sales (a division of Intandem Media Group) today announced that three films, in various stages of production will be introduced to international buyers at the EFM.
TOP DOG, directed by British actor, musician and filmmaker Martin Kemp (The Krays) starring Leo Gregory (Green Street Hooligans) and Ricci Harnett (28 Days Later) has wrapped and is currently in post-production. Universal Pictures UK has the UK rights and will release in June. Top Dog is based on the sequel to the best-selling novel, The Crew, written by Dougie Brimson, writer of Green Street Hooligans which won the special Jury Award at SXSW.
Currently in pre-production, with filming due to start at the beginning of March, REIGN OF THE GENERAL, written, directed by and starring Ricci Harnett tells the story of underworld boss Carlton Leach, one of the most respected criminals in Britain. REIGN OF THE GENERAL aims to be the most authentic of British crime films, transporting audiences from London to Rotterdam and Portugal and back again. The film will be released in the UK later this year through Universal Pictures UK.
RED BILLABONG, a high-octane thriller set in the Australian outback, starring Josh Helman (Animal Kingdom, Jack Reacher) and Lincoln Lewis (After Earth, Tomorrow When the War Began) is scheduled for a five week shoot on the Gold Coast, Queensland, starting late March. RED BILLABONG will feature the legendary ‘bunyip’, a terrifying creature of legend that is said to hunt the Australian outback. The creature effects will be created by VFX specialists Cutting Edge behind Prometheus, The Harry Potter Franchise, X-Men and Avengers Assemble.
The three productions add to Manifest Film Sales’ growing slate which also includes sci-fi adventure SECOND ORIGIN starring Rachel Hurd-Wood, announced earlier this week.
