American western "The Divide,” comes to Cannes for its World Market Premiere.

Greg Sims (Arya Worldwide Ent) and Marcel van Berkel (Quira), are thrilled to be bringing the modern American western "The Divide,” to Cannes for its World Market Premiere.

 

The Divide is directed by, and starring Golden Globe nominated actor Perry King ("Riptide", "The Day After Tomorrow"),  the film is a uniquely American modern western.

The Divide is directed by, and starring Golden Globe nominated actor Perry King ("Riptide", "The Day After Tomorrow"),  the film is a uniquely American modern western that has been playing to packed audiences at festivals in Houston and Arizona, and just received a stunning review from legendary Houston film critic Joe Leydon, who said "In his debut effort as a feature film director, King gives an extraordinary performance... Working in concert with screenwriter Jana Brown, he has fashioned an uncommonly compelling and emotionally rich drama ...the chance to do what his admirers have always known he was capable of doing: Be drop-dead brilliant without working up a sweat.”

Our screening is 14 May at the Olympia 3, at 3:30. Unfortunately we will not have screening links or DVD's in advance, but hope you can join us for the screening. The screening will be followed by an invitation only reception, to  introduce Perry, who is visiting Cannes for the first time, to buyers and press.

 

Perry began his career starring with Stallone in "Lords of Flatbush," and opposite Raquel Welch in "The Wild Party," and is a world class race driver, having won the Long Beach Toyota Celebrity Grand Prix twice.  See the attached press release for more details about the film, and Perry.  

"The Divide" also features Sara Arrington from Amazon's "Bosch," and Tony Award Winner Levi Kreis, and features award winning cinematography from Russ Rayburn, and a score from Grammy winners Jay Ungar and Molly Brown.

Please note "The Divide" has a guaranteed US theatrical release in the Fall, in a minimum of ten key US cities, though there is a 

possibility that theatrical release may be expanded.
