NOMINATIONS ANNOUNCED

 

 

We are thrilled to reveal the feature narrative nominations for the 11th Asia Pacific Screen Awards, to be held in Brisbane on 23 November.

 

This year features an incredible breadth of films, with  41 films from 21 countries and areas of the Asia Pacific region receiving nominations in 2017, including the first nomination for a film from Bhutan.

Competing for this year's APSA for Best Feature Film are:

Across all awards and achievements, films from Australia, Japan and the People's Republic of China lead the nomination tally with six each. Three films have three nominations each – Sweet Country from Palme d'Or-winning filmmaker Warwick Thornton, Japanese auteur Hirokazu Kore-eda's new film The Third Murder and Georgia-Estonia co-production Scary Mother.
