Canadian Studio Announces Additions to Slate of Quality Films From Blue Fox Entertainment, Nehst Studios and Riverbank Pictures
The leading Canadian studio has secured deals with Blue Fox Entertainment, Nehst Studios, and Riverbank Pictures, adding to their growing roster of premium films that already boasts in-demand new titles from existing partnerships with award-winning Canadian producers, Black Fawn Films and 5’7 Films.

The pact with Blue Fox Entertainment sees Breakthrough acquiring four new films for foreign sales including Shortwave, Heartland, The Truth About Lies, and Child Eater. From Nehst Studios comes a slate of documentary and dramatic feature-films highlighted by Eating You Alive (featuring James Cameron and Samuel L. Jackson), as well as a handful of other blue chip documentaries. The content studio also acquired the just completed film Darker Than Night from Canadian producers Riverbank Pictures.

Breakthrough will also be featuring a lineup of brand new films, as well as others that have had success on the festival circuit and international broadcasts. Newly completed L.M. Montgomery’s Anne of Green Gables: The Good Stars (Second in the trilogy, starring Martin Sheen), The Heretics, and Scarecrows, will join the other diverse pictures on the EFM slate.
