Showcasing the beauty of tea ceremony and 400 years of Japanese tradition in Montreal’s most classic church

The Church was initially built by a very first pastor in Montreal, Marguerite Bourgeoys in 1655. The current church was re-built in 1771.
Miki Nakatani as So-on
Born in Tokyo on 12th of January, 1976.
Her debut was in 1993 and appeared in many much-discussed TV dramas and films. She received 30th Japanese Academy Award for Best Actress in Memories of Matsuko (06) and numerous other Film Awards.
Miki Nakatani’s first encounter with Montreal pushes her to challenge in the new stage. In 2011, she fulfilled a main role in theater play, Le Fusil de Chasse directed by François Girard. She did not only play herself three different roles, but it was her very first stage debut and first international public performance. She was one of very few Japanese actresses who attracted the attention of people in Canada; all tickets were sold, with a standing ovation at the end of each performance. This Japan-Canadian international project became the turning point of her career and boosted her to the success.
