Summer Solstice
CAMERIMAGE, the International Film Festival of the Art of Cinematography, which takes place November 14th – 21st, today revealed the lineup of films screening in two of the Festival’s competition sections – Cinematographers’ Debuts and Polish Films.
Both competitions boast an impressive slate of acclaimed films. The Cinematographers' Debuts Competition underlines the Festival's increasing openness to noteworthy artists and the new film phenomena they create, spotlighting movies of high artistic value and filmmakers whose new ventures surprise not only the Jury members but all audiences around the world.
The Polish Films Competition presents the best achievements of Polish cinema to the international jury and audience each year. Only foreign (non-Polish) artists are invited to be jury members for this competition, allowing for evaluation that is free of local contexts and audience preferences. The films embrace Polish culture and are at the same time universally appealing. The Competition offers local filmmakers an opportunity to be exposed to foreign audiences and international production and distribution channels. The Award for the Best Polish Film is usually presented to both director and cinematographer.

Now in its 23rd Edition, the International Film Festival of the Art of Cinematography CAMERIMAGE is the most recognized festival dedicated to the art of cinematography and is the biggest international film festival in Poland. The unconventional format of the Festival, which awards films according to their visual, aesthetic and technical values, is a unique alternative to traditional film festivals.
