Writer / Director Sanna Lenken, who struggled with anorexia as a teenager, first explored the world of young people and eating disorders in her short film Eating Lunch (Berlin 2013), and MY SKINNY SISTER thoughtfully explores the subject again, with a breakout performance from the young protagonist, who captures the joy and complications of teenage life and its unexpected travails with supreme grace.
